We get frequent reports of people that have shared their location looking like they are not moving on the map, or where their location updates once every 20 or 30 minutes, or even longer. Most of the time, this is not the result of the app not working, but of a setting not set correctly in the app on the sender's phone.
If someone has shared their location with you, and it looks like they aren't moving at all or they are moving infrequently, have them take a look at the steps in the appropriate article below. Alternately, if people have complained that you don't seem to move on the map when you share your location with them, you should also follow the steps in the appropriate article. These steps will solve the problem a large majority of the time.
