Google has updated a feature called Doze in Android 7.0 and above to improve battery performance/optimization, which may impact apps that rely on GPS location, including Glympse En Route and popular navigation services. Glympse En Route users may receive a "network connection error" when your device is set down, put into your pocket, the Glympse En Route app is placed into the background or your device's screen is turned off. http://www.androidauthority.
Please note: Glympse En Route has not made any changes that will increase your battery usage, turning this feature off will grant permission to Glympse to utilize your device's GPS while actively sharing your location. If battery optimization is not turned off, then Glympse En Route, depending on the state of your device, ie. sitting on your dashboard, placed into a pocket, or set down, may not accurately share your location and may cause interruptions while location sharing.
