Google has updated a feature called Doze in Android 7.0 and above to improve battery performance/optimization, which may impact apps that rely on GPS location, including Glympse En Route and popular navigation services. Glympse En Route users may receive a "network connection error" when your device is set down, put into your pocket, the Glympse En Route app is placed into the background or your device's screen is turned off. http://www.androidauthority.com/android-n-doze-678982/
Please note: Glympse En Route has not made any changes that will increase your battery usage, turning this feature off will grant permission to Glympse to utilize your device's GPS while actively sharing your location. If battery optimization is not turned off, then Glympse En Route, depending on the state of your device, ie. sitting on your dashboard, placed into a pocket, or set down, may not accurately share your location and may cause interruptions while location sharing.
Go to Settings>Device Maintenance>Battery>Advanced Settings>Battery Usage>In Battery Usage tap the top right menu and tap Optimize Battery Usage. Tap "Apps not Optimized" tap "All Apps" and scroll down to Glympse En Route and toggle it off to disable Optimization.
Go to Settings>Battery> tap the top right menu and tap "Battery Optimization". Tap "All Apps" and scroll down to Glympse En Route and tap the "Don't Optimize" option and tap "Done".
If you device is not listed above, we recommend searching your device's online help or Googling the directions for battery optimization settings.
