You can remove members from a Private Group on an iPhone by completing the following steps:
1. From the private group map, tap the group icon in the top right of the screen which will take you the details of your group.
3. Here you can select the member of the group you would like to remove and then swipe left over their information and tap on Remove.
3. On the Group Details page, the member will no longer be displayed.
